Melman and I had an awesome school holiday together.  We had a sleep over at my cousin's 3 times.  Also we went to Dunedin and went to our favourite shops, Diva and Smiggles.  Moana pool was our favourite part but Melman had to watch from the side as Giraffes can't go down the slides, or swim very well.

On Friday I got to go home with Isaac.  It was kinda boring on Friday because we didn't do anything.  On friday night when we were both in bed Isaac started to cuddle me up because I was scared of the dark.  On Saturday Isaac had rugby I couldn't wait.  Isaac was all ready and he didn't take me ohhhhh...  I really want to go with him.  Well, I guess I have some peace and quiet to myself.  A couple of long and suer boring hours later, I found out that Isaac was at his friend's house... at least I get more quiet.  When Isaac got home he was playing on the playstation, I asked if I could have a go but he wasn't listening, oh man, I haven't done anything with this guy.  On Saturday night me and Isaac and his mum were on the couch watching the rugb y final.  He asked me who I was going for I said New York City, no he said the teams are Crusaders and Reds, oh ok I'm going for Crusaders I hope they win.  they lost, oh well, better luck next year Canterbury.  On Tuesday I hoped we were going to do something fun today well Isaac's got school that's not fun.  After school Isaac was getting ready for a sport called basketball.  Now I hope I come this time.  When Isaac was ready he was coming into his room for something..."me" I'm going, yes!!  When we got there I saw Becky and Sam "hi Melman," they said when we got inside.  It was very warm and it's kind of weird seeing people you don't know.  12 minutes later Isaac got up of his seat and went over to his team, they were practicing slamdunks?  I think.  In the first quarter Isaac was n and he is fast, look at that short boy skinny legged small footed boy run.  On the last quarter of the last minute Isaac was off.  Then we won.  Yay!!
p.s. I also got to sleep with the cat and the dog in their beds.

Melman Cool Trip

On Friday I got to go home with Grace.  First we went to Ayla's house.  We were playing cooks and they made me a big as big, could be a leaf sandwich, I couldn't finish it all because it was so big.  The next day I woke up to the sound of shouting "we're going to be late again."  Oh no not again!  There's always sport where ever I go.  After Grace and Hannah got rushed off to soccer and Amy off to netball I had some peace and quiet to myself until...........They all came home.  More shouting and a number of loud tantrums lead me to know there was a party about to happen and not any party but Grace's noisy sister Amy's birthday party with all her loud friends.  Oh no!  I was just about to run for cover when 'knock knock' too late.  As the guests start arriving I realise I'm the only boy here her Dad had escaped.  Lucky!  It's Wednesday and Grace has rushed us off to speech and drama.  I know what drama is but I have no idea what speech is.  When we got there Sam was there.  I haven't been to her house yet.  I can't wait to go to her house, she is so nice.

Alex's Adventure with Sammy

Yay I get to go home with Sam.  I wonder where we're going these holidays?  Sam told me we're going to have tea at Macas, yay.  I had some coke.  In the morning we went to netball.  It was cold.  Sam got player of the day.  At twelve we went to pick up Danielle's friend from Wellington.  The car trip was fun.  But I got car sick.  I was lucky that I got a flake.  Mmmm that was yum.  We stopped at Kurow I played on the flying fox then we went on the slide.  Swing, "here we come" I screamed.  Then I got a chocolate bar.  We went to have some sushi.  At 7:00 we had tea we had a roast chicken yum the we settled down to watch Romeo & Juliet.  I fell asleep on the sofa then Sam headed off to bed!!! Arrr sleep in day today I said.  When I woke up we watched T.V.  Then we had breakfast I had toast with jam on it then we played duck duck goose.  I got tagged lots.  Then we made cup cakes, yum.  Then Danielle and Natasha made tea, we had stir fry, I could smell it from out on the tramp.  The tramp was fun.  Then Kim told us that they are getting a golden retriever, her name is Carma and she's two.  After tea we watched two and a half men, that was funny.  We watched the middle then we headed off to bed that was a big day. 
In the morning we went to have a hair cut but I didn't get a hair cut Sam looks different.  Kiki helped us wash the car then we played hide and go seek the Danielle and Natasha made apple crumble.  We had kebabs for tea, yum.  Then we watched Hannah Montana.
In the morning we went to Dunedin on a shopping spree Sam got a book the Danielle did a photo shoot.  We had sushis for tea.
On Wednesday Sam went to Oscar they made hoola hoops and went to the pool.  That night we headed to Ashburton, that was fun. 
The next day we went on another shopping spree!!!  Sam brought some cute socks and some stuff from Smiggle.  We had chicken for tea.  Did I mention I got a coke from Cookie Time Cookie. 
In the morning Sam told me we're going to Christchurch again, why?  We pulled up at Christchurch airport and we saw Campbell off Campbell live, we're going on the same plane as him.  We are going on my first plane ride.  I was asleep most of the time Sam and Danielle's Dad Paul picked us up.  Then we went home to watch the rugby.  I hope the All Blacks win.  The score was tense, everyone knew that the All Blacks were going to win.  Aaa-achoo, oh no I've got a cold.  But we're doing fun things this week.  Aaa-choo.  All my friends are here to look after me.  Well I got to go Sam has to give me medicine.
The next day they all went to mini golf, Paul won.  I'm still sick in bed, but I'm ok.  I should be fine to come back to school.  I asked Sam if I could go with them to do fun stuff.,  She said oh no better stay in bed and rest.  They went to Tim Out, which is a big game centre.  Sam and Morgan played lazer tag, they were on different teams so Morgan kept shouting at me.  Because it was dark Sam ran into the wall and had a headache all day.
The next day we went fishing .  They caught 2 fish then they played has anyone got talent.
In the morning it was time to pack.  We all said good bye, jumped into the car and drove away!!!

Talia's and Alex's amazing adventures!

Yay I get to go home with Talia.  When we got home Talia and I went on the computer and played on cool maths games.  It was so cool.  Then I realised we were going to have tea, we had fish and chips butb I wanted meat.  When I finished my tea Talis went and had a shower and I watched Talia's mum Rebecca go on goggle.  After that Talia got out of the shower and we wrapped up Brooke's present because it is her birthday party tomorrow and I was going to go.  After we done that we went to bed and watched the Grahame Norton Show it was really funny.  Now it is time to go to sleep good nigght Alex.  Talia Talia wake wake up it's Saturday and you're going to Brooke's party.  Talia asked me what I want for breakfast I said porridge please what flavour do you want Alex normal so Talia's mum got breakfast ready it was yummy.  Now Talia has to get dressed.  Then Talia and I played a game on her cell phone we played golf I won.  After that Talia went and read a Geronimo Stilton book to me I liked that book.  "Bye Talia" I said.  I said bye because she is going to Taliia's birthday party.  When Talia got home she told me what she did.  Well first she told us who was there Emily, Sam, Becky, Talia, Grace, Gina, Jessica, Anna, Trinity, Jayda and Nelle, Brooke and Brooke's brother and sister.  We all played a game with M & Ms and the chocolate game.  They had heaps of lollies and some drinks each of the drinks we had are L & P, Fanta and Lemonade.  Talia said it was really fun.  Talia told me that we're going to watch a movie tonight called Hoodwinked it's going to be cool. 
It's time to have tea.  We have to go to bed.  On Monday Talia had to go to school and after school she had miniball practice.  When Talia got home she only had 45 minutes to get dressed and have tea before Rally.  Emily picks Talia up.  On Tuesday Talia had miniball the game with her team.  Talia told me who is in her miniball team Ella, Bree their in room 9 and the rest are in room 7 they are Sammy, Becky (Rebecca), Wmily, Anna and Talia.  Talia has choir and Rebecca, Talia's mum watched it, it was really cool.  Talia said to me on Thursday Talia said that I have to go back to school tomorrow.  Them it came to Friday I hope I can see you again Talia.  Hi Miss de Geest Talia said.  I can't wait for my next adventure what will it be like?

Jarvis and Melman

Hi my name is Melman and I got to go to Jarvis's house.  On Monday afternoon Jarvis took me for a bike ride to the dairy to get some lollies after that I took Melman on the swingset.  Then it was time for me to go to cubs.  I took Melman to cubs.  We played spotlight at the gardens that night Melman was really good at hiding because he is a little bit camouflaged.  I had lots of fun with Jarvis.
Melman helped Dad and I fix Dave's speed boat.  We had to fix the seat because they went over a big wave and had a rough landing.

FUN WITH ALEX!!! by Aisha

It's 5:00 we should start making tea.  Alex can put our tea in the pan.  We should get some wood in the fire to keep us warm.  Aisha has to go to netball in the morning I will miss ger.  "Time for tea" Aisha's mum yelled.  Alex and I ate all of our tea.  It must be time for bed Alex can sleep with me.  Wake up.  Time for netball.  Aisha will put her netball skirt on for netball I hope her team wins.  On Saturday Alex and I jumped on my bed.  But we couldn't touch the roof.  Aisha and I played tag Aisha tagged me.  Then Aisha went to Talia's ninth birthday Becky took her.  Becky gave me a big cuddle.  I also got a photo taken with her.  Becky is really nice.  Becky also looked really pretty.  At the party they played singstar Becky and Wmily won most rounds.  Because they are really good singers. 
After the party Aisha said I could have a turn on the computer Kartia had a turn as well.  Alex went into the fridge to get something to eat he got out a yoghurt.  "Yum yum" Alex said as he ate up his yoghurt.  He also had some accorns.  I don't eat them.  I just collect them.  But Alex eats them.  On Sunday we played hide and go seek it was really fun.  Aisha couldn't find me.  I was hiding in the bush.  Aisha said on Monday I could see Maddie, Allie and Sam.  I can't wait to meet them.  On that day we played on Aisha's DSI.  You can take photos on it as well.  On Monday I saw Maddie, Allie and Sam they are really nice.  I have to go home with someone different.  I can't wait until the next adventure I have.  But I will miss Aisha.  I also had heaps of fun with Aisha.

Hi my name is Melman.  I went home with Gina!  She let me watch Taikwondo because she honestly sad that I would get bored with the dogs and my Mum won't be there!  So it happened, I dropped him off up the stairs he didn't really watch me!  I asked him after if he was watching me he said he was asleep underneath my snuggly coat to keep him warm! 

Hi Melman what ya doin?  I hope you are ready to play.  You can have lots of adventures with me today and you don't have to pay.  Hey Melman you're a really cool Giraffe.  We had a really cool time this isn't a poem so don't think it is.  You go and have another adventure with someone else!!!

Xavier and Alex

On Friday Xavier took me home for the week.  When we got home Hamana (his little brother) was on the wii.  After Hamana I had a go.  I had fun.  After that Xavier went to super gang.  When he came home we went to bed.  The next day I was introduced to 2 of his favourite teddys.  Their names are Heary Beary (is the bear) and Fluff (is the duck like thing).

Xavier showed me his Bakagon and we had a game of it and I won.  On Saturday we watched Bolt at 7:30.  We also went to Dunedin and saw his family on Monday.  Cool.  We also had Dominoes for tea.  Yum yum.

Seusical With Melman!

Yay I get to go home with Anna AGAIN!  On Sunday Anna and I were going to the Seussical.  On the way Anna's mum stopped at a house.  Then Aisha came out and Anna said "Aisha is coming with us."  When we were there, there were lots of people.  When we were inside we got some water and a little party mix each.  We all had a favourite but we thought differently.  Aisha didn't know what was her favourite, Anna's favourite was the cat in the hat and my favourite was Horton.  I LOVED being at Anna's house AGAIN.  Bye.

Hi I'm Alex and I'm glad I came to Oliver's house on Friday.  I met lots of new friends there Biobicle Stormer, Bolter, Halley and Botrana.  So we did a role model and watched Phines and Furb.  I liked it when I learned how to fly.  See you next time.

Melman's Muddy Day

I can't wait to go home with someone.  I wonder who it will be.  Yay it's Jacob I haven't been with him before.  I can't wait to go.  What should we do?  Maybe we should go to Duntroon and see Jacob's Dad.  His Dad said we can get his motor bike part so it can go.  When we got to Jacob's Dad's we went to the farm to chop wood.  It was really muddy.  It was a struggle to get out of the paddock.  When we got back to Jacob's Dad's house it was time to go to Jacob's Mum's house.
I had an awesome time.

On Wednesday night Alex and I went to Sea Scouts.  At Sea Scouts we do cooking and rowing and games.  Me and Alex had two photos with my friend Oliver.  Here's Alex checking out Sea Scouts.

MELMAN

On Monday Wil got me.  He took me to his dad's work.  When we got there Wil gave me a ride on the Forklift.  I got to honk the horn it was loud.  Then we went to the elephant I got to climb on it with Wil.  I was scared when I got to the top because I'm scared of heights.  Wil never knew that.  Then we got lifted down by Gomer and the forklift he put the forks up so me and Wil could hop on them then he lowered us down so we could hop off.  Then Wil took me inside then he introduced me to Megan.  She works at the desk near the front door.

Then Wil took me to his dad's office.  I liked the steam punkedblamp it was cool.  Then I decided to sit in Wil's dad's chair.  Man o man it was comfy.  But when he came in we were off.  Then I wanted to see how the crane works so i asked Wil to show me.  So we went to the crane once I got closer it was huge.  Then I asked Wil could this crane lift the elephant?  Probably.  "Hey Wil what's that thing over there?" "It's a truck".  Then we went to check it out.  Then I asked another question.  "Could the truck carry the crane on its trailer?" b "Yer it would carry it eazy peazy."  "Wow that truck must be strong.  Then we went on the cab there were lots of levers.

Anna's House

Hi, my name is Melman and I went home with Anna.  Anna showed me around her house and finally my favourite part...her backyard.  I saw this animal and Anna said "it's called a CHICKEN."  They were eating yam leaves so I tried them and they were actually quite nice (probably because they're leaves).  I saw this GIANT tree and I struggled but I climbed the tree pretty high.  Anna and I looked up some giraffe facts.  Here they are:  Giraffe group are called a troop.  They are 5.5 metres tall.  I saw this oval shaped thing in the chicken coop so I gave ti to Anna and said "it was an EGG."  Can you please find me the laundry?  I had fun at Anna's house.  I wonder what my next adventure is?

Alex's Fun

Hi I took Alex home on Friday the 25th of March.  First I watched T.V. with Alex.  Next I had some pizza for tea Alex said it smelt nice!  We watched big brother play on our Wii.  He is way better than me because he is bigger and knows more about it than me and Alex.  After that we went and played on my ripstick.  Alex thought it was so tricky I had to hold him up.  In the morning I played on the computer with Alex.   He kept asking questions it was really annoying!  Natarla came round for a play and we took some photos of Natarla, Alex and I.

Melman's Adventure with Natarla...

On Friday I got to go home with Natarla.  First thing we did was play with her toys.  On Saturday it was Natarla's sister Sholas Birthday Party.  We had yummy delicious cake.  Also we had lots of lollies.  I loved Natarla's little sister Aliana, so cute.  I got a bit sad because Shola and her friends got to sleep in their tent and Natarla and I had to sleep inside.  I got to meet Natarla's friends Kasidy, Monique and Stoney and their cute kittens.  And every night we read a book before we went to sleep.  On the first night we watched a movie called Despicable Me and we had ice-cream.  Everyday for breakfast we had weetbix and a milo and toast.  On Sunday I got to meet Natarla's friends Kate and Joseph.  On Monday it was a holiday so we got up late and finally we got to have honey puffs for breakfast.  Oh and on Monday I played with my new friend called Tummy Time.  Through the rest of the week we didn't do much.  On Melmans last day we had fish and chips for tea and had a cake.  Oh and on my last day Natarla's friend Talia came for a play.  I will miss you Natarla.  Bye bye.

Alex's Adventures

On Friday Alex and I went on the tramp.  We bounced really high.  Then we went insideand found some popstar glasses for him.  He looked very snazzy.  He met LOTS of friends (I've got way more teddys) can you find him in the picture below? 

It is 8:17 we're only in Dunedin we've got an hour until Catlins that's ages and Alex is asleep in the red warm pencil case and he looks really squashed.  After an hour we're there.  We slept in the sleep out.  We stay right next to the beach.  The next day we drove to Nugget Point and the sea was beautiful.  We had lots of fun Alex and I.

Melman's and Becky's Adventures

Hey there.  It's Melman here and I've just been to Becky's house for a week.  First Becky showed me around her house.  She showed me her dogs Sharma and Max.  They were really cool pets.  On Saturday Becky took me tree climbing and it was very fun!!  (By the way I was pretty good at it).  Then it was Sunday and me and Becky went for a walk and I found a little house in the garden.  After we found the house Becky took me to look at her ducks in her pond.  When Becky and I got back to her house her cousins Bianca and Rene'e turned up for tea.  Rene'e loved Melman and looked after him while I was gone and she did a good job.  Then it was Monday and after school Becky and I wanted to go on an another adventure so we went on a hunt for some flowers for the kitchen.  I spotteds some yellow flowers hiding in the bushes and they were pretty cool.  At last it came to the last day of the week where I had to go back to school.  But thanks for having me and I hope I come back for another adventure at your house again soon.  Bye!!!

Bike Fun!

Alex really enjoyed his time at school on the bikes except when he fell off.

He had heaps of fun and his favourite bike was the big tall one (the one in the picture above).

He also liked doing art and he learnt heaps from bike safety, but what he liked the most was building the bike, he thought that was wicked!!

Alex saves Shining Star!!!

Today something amazing happened on the pirate ship.
It took great bravery to do this this task.
This morning the crew and their leader Alex were bravely walking across the rope bridge on the ship.
They were trying to get to the other side of the ship without falling into the sinking stones.
No one has fallen off this rope bridge until now.
The crew went across in a straight line with Alex at the end.
Shining Star tumbled but just grasped the rope bridge while Alex bravely tied himself to a rope connected to the ship and swang! 
With Shining Star on his back Alex carefully walked across the rope. 
Everyone was so excited and relieved that Alex and Shining Star had made it and Shining Star was very grateful that Alex had saved her.
Alex has saved the day again and what will he do next?!!!

Melman had lots of fun with my cuddly toys.  The last day with Melman is really fun so I cuddled him hard because the night has come and I am really sad, so I make the most of the night and I enjoyed his fun stay.  I really hope I see him again soon.  HHmmm, now I wonder if my shoes are still wet?

Moeraki Boulders

Hi my name is JT.  One day I took home Melman the giraffe first I went to the lovely Moeraki Boulders.  My Aunty Lorraine came too and she's from Chirstchurch.  Melman had a bottle of giraffe with him.  "Splish splosh spalsh" as Melman and I jump in puddles.  Melman sst with his tall friend on a boulder.  Melman liked his new friend.  I think he got confused when I threw his friend in the bin.  Melman was sad when we left.

Welcome to Madagascar! Escape to....

This year in Room 7 we are going to have a fabulous year!  The classroom is Madagascar themed, based on the 2nd movie.  Every now and then the class will escape to a new destination.  Each week a child will get to take home a package filled of all sorts of goodies.  So enjoy this blog and keep up to date with what is happening in room 7 at Fenwick School!
